Watch this short video to learn the basics of Work Orders in Woven:
The Work Orders feature in Woven lets you easily track and manage your locations’ Work Orders allowing your company to more efficiently address maintenance problems.
Find the Work Orders feature under the “Maintenance” menu.
The “Work Orders” tab lists all the work orders for your affiliated locations. At a glance, you can view important information such as the impacted asset, status of the ordered parts, new notes, priority, and more.
To make quick updates to a work order, select its row to reveal the Quick Actions sidebar.
To make more extensive changes, click on the Work Order Number to navigate to that work order’s main page. Here, you can make general updates, identify participating vendors, upload invoices, list used parts, and more.
To submit a work order, click on the “Submit Work Order” button. Answer a few questions about the issue, then you’re ready to submit it. Learn more about how to submit a work order for an asset or for a facility-related issue.
Manage open work orders by continuing to update that work order’s page. There, you can:
- Add notes to detail the progress of the work order,
- Identify any additional assets related to the work order and any vendors responsible for the work order (if externally sourced)
- Track invoices, parts used for the work order, and related documents or files
- Follow or unfollow the specific work order using the bell icons located above the notes area.

Once the work order has been addressed, close the work order by clicking on its Work Order Number to navigate to that work order’s “General” tab. Click the “Close” button. You can also take this action from the Quick Action sidebar.
Beyond adding and managing work orders, the “Work Order Insights” tab highlights relevant and impactful insights to support data-driven decisions about maintenance.
You’re ready to use the Work Orders feature if you have added your assets to Woven and have updated the Work Orders and Assets Settings pages. Learn more about adding your assets individually and in bulk as well as updating your Work Orders Settings and Assets Settings pages.
TROUBLESHOOTING: If you do not see “Work Orders” under the MAINTENANCE menu or you don’t see the MAINTENANCE menu, you do not have the permissions to use the Work Orders feature. Contact your account administrator for access.
