Asset settings are where you can add asset categories, asset manufacturers, and view the verification of your categories and manufacturers. The Assets “Settings” page prevents inaccurately inputted assets from being added to the account and dictates how assets of certain categories and manufacturers will behave in Woven. To get to the Asset “Settings” page, click “Assets” under the Maintenance menu. You will then want to click “Settings” in the upper right-hand corner.
In the “Categories” tab, you will see all of the asset categories that have been added. You are able to add other asset categories as needed. You can add an asset category one at a time or in bulk. Once a category has been added, you will want to click into the category and complete the setup of the category. To view how to set up a category, view the Assets Settings – “Categories” Tab article.
The “Manufacturers” tab is where you will find all of the manufacturers of your assets. After selecting a manufacturer, you will see their name, their website, contact name, contact email, and contact phone. There are two ways to add a manufacturer. You can either add a manufacturer one at a time or in bulk. Once a manufacturer has been added, you will want to click into the manufacturer and complete the setup for that manufacturer. To view how to set up a manufacturer, view the Assets Settings – “Manufacturer” Tab article.
The “Verification” tab checks if there are categories missing “Types of Assets” entries, any categories that haven’t been associated with a manufacturer, any categories that do not have any work order reasons tied to them (see the Settings page under the “Work Orders” feature), and any manufacturers that haven’t been tied to at least one category. Anything listed in the “Verification” tab should be corrected in order to use the “Assets” and “Work Orders” features as intended.
