The Assets feature in Woven helps you track and manage your company’s assets. Woven defines four types of assets:
- Equipment (e.g., treadmills, chest presses, tanning beds, massage chairs)
- Facility (e.g., automatic doors, exterior signs, beverage coolers)
- Mechanical (e.g., water heaters, HVACs)
- Vehicle (e.g., maintenance trucks, promotional vans)
The “Assets” tab on the Assets feature lists all the assets for your affiliated location(s). At a glance, you can view important information about each asset including its tag number, serial number, where it’s located, whether it’s inactive, etc.
You can view more details about the asset or update its information by clicking on an asset’s Tag Number which will direct you to that asset’s page. Here, you can mark whether the asset is inactive; update its general information; add a warranty for the asset; review its service history, maintenance invoices, and history of downtime; mark its usage (if applicable); review or upload files about the asset.
Returning to the “Assets” tab, here you can add an asset by clicking the “+Add Asset” button. Fill out the information about the asset (e.g., the location, asset type, unique tag number, category, and manufacturer fields are required) and select the “Add Asset & View” button to add the asset. If you’re adding a number of similar assets (e.g., five Matrix treadmills of the same model and style), select the “Add Asset & New” button which will save the identical responses to fields but clear out unique fields (e.g., Asset Tag Number and Serial Number fields). Enter in the next asset’s asset tag number and serial number then select “Add Asset & New” again to continue adding similar assets. Learn more about adding assets individually.
Instead of adding your assets into Woven one by one, you can add them in bulk by importing them via the “Import Assets” tab. To do this, you’ll need to create a CSV spreadsheet for each location that lists that location’s assets then upload it. Learn more about adding assets in bulk.
Sometimes, it’s necessary to track the usage of assets (e.g., the number of hours a tanning bed has operated, the number of miles logged on a treadmill) which you can do on the “Metered Usage” tab. Identify similar assets by location then input the usage for each of these assets. Select the “Save [Metered Type] Reading(s)” button to save the inputs.
You’re ready to use the Assets feature if you have updated Assets Settings. Learn more about updating Assets Settings.
TROUBLESHOOTING: If you do not see “Assets” under the MAINTENANCE menu or you don’t see the MAINTENANCE menu, you do not have the permissions to use the Assets feature. Contact your account administrator for access.
