The retiring an asset feature in Woven allows you to mark assets as retired once they have reached the end of their life span. This feature allows you to be able to view an asset’s details/history without the asset showing up as active in Woven.
To retire an asset:
- Click Assets under the Maintenance Menu.
- Click into the asset tag number for the asset you would like to retire.
- Click the yellow “Actions” drop-down.
- Click “Retire Asset.”
Now that an asset has been retired, you will see a “Retired” tag on the asset’s details page.
Once an asset has been retired, a new retired date field will appear below the installed date field. By default, Woven will set the retired date to today's date. If the asset was retired on a previous day, you can click into the retired date field and select the assets correct retired on date.
Since retired assets will not show on the main page of “Assets,” you will need to use asset filters to filter by retired assets.
To unretire an asset:
- Click Assets under the Maintenance Menu.
- Click the blue “Filters” button.
- Click into the asset tag number for the asset you would like to unretire.
- Click the yellow “Actions” drop-down.
- Click “Unretire Asset.”
